Miss Dream's staff is comprised of 12 individuals who have been fourtunate enough to be educated in Japanese, graphical design and/or programming. If you are interested in learning more about the people behind the names, please continue reading!

Elly is the master-mind behind Miss Dream. She is head staff-member and coordinates all the shenanigans that go on behind the scenes. Whether she's translating lyrics, coding in php, or playing around in Photoshop, she can be found developing just about every part of this site. Elly is responsible for the following:
Elly's personal hobbies include (gasp) translation, gardening, cooking, and sewing. She is mother to Zachary, her two year old son, and is pretty intensely in love with this guy named James. You might see him around or something. Favorite shows include Babylon 5, Big Love, and Good Eats. You can reach Elly by e-mailing her at elly@reisei-sa.net or on AIM as sassypants678.

Jen is one crazy chika! Just look at that face! She may look cute, but she belongs in a straight jacket. If you don't restrain her, she will shoop the entire world before you can say poopty peupty pants! Fortunately, this is a good thing, and for this, she was half the brains behind Miss Dream. Anime inspired her to focus more on her artwork. Soon after, Jen began fine-tuning her skills in digital art and got a copy of PaintShopPro when she was 10 years old. Wanting to up her game, Jen decided to upgrade to Adobe Photoshop and has been working with it since 2004. Jen is a bit of a photoshop pimp, you might say. Jen's tasks include
Jen began watching Sailor Moon at the tender age of 8, in 1998. Her favorite Sailor Soldier is Sailor Venus. She's considered herself a hardcore fan ever since. There was a gap between 2004 and 2007 where she took a break from the fandom to pursue other things (Such as NOT being an awkward high school student). Jen's interests include artwork, reading, writing, roleplaying, cosplaying, video games, DDR, hanging out with friends, and dicking around on the internet. Her favorite anime/manga are Sailor Moon, Dragonball Z, Rurouni Kenshin, Azumanga Daioh, Cardcaptor Sakura, and Axis Powers Hetalia. Her favorite video games include Zelda (Ocarina of Time, A Link to the Past), Final Fantasy (6, 7, 9, and 10), Super Mario (Yoshi's Island, Super Mario RPG), Kirby (Dreamland, SuperStar), Earthbound, Pokemon First Gen. Jen surprisingly also likes non-Japanese things too! Her favorite TV shows are White Collar, Law and Order SVU, NCIS, Burn Notice, House MD, Family Guy, The Boondocks, and iCarly. Her favorite movies are Harry Potter, Pirates of the Carribean, and Beauty and the Beast. Also, Jen loves pugs, and misses her beloved pooch, Max, more than anything in the world.
James is one of the latest additions to the Miss Dream staff. A generally cool guy who doesn't afraid of anything ever. Like Brendan and Debbie he has spent over four years learning Japanese, and has studied in Tokyo as well, also holding a degree in the language. He has done fansubing and anime translation in the past, although no mahou shojou (magical girls) series before Miss Dream. He is responsible for:
James' personal hobbies include building Gunpla, baking, fixing things, and puzzles. He loves Robots more than what most people would consider normal, or healthy. Enjoys Mexican food, a good beer, and cool cars.

This guy is Paul. He's a total otaku and geek, who has no life. Seriously, he does almost nothing but work and go home and hang out on the Intertubes and watch anime and other geeky programs. Beyond Sailormoon, he likes slice-of-life anime like Azumanga Daioh and Aria. Paul's responsibilities include:
You can contact Paul on AIM at seraasteroid (some lame-o took the username he wanted, so it's the Japanese phonetic spelling), and should do so, especially if you're a cute girl. (this might be a good time to mention that even though it's in the third person, Paul wrote this himself. Also, he can't be like Elly and write pages and pages.)

Brendan is one of the many talented Miss Dream translators. He is a snarky bastard who is easily drawn into Elly's many schemes, but greatly enjoys them. He has spent four+ years learning Japanese on a personal and academic level, including a 10 month stint at the Tokyo University of Foreign Studies, and holds a degree in the language. He has translated professionally, and could tell you more about Japanese words regarding battery storage then you would ever want to know. He is responsible for:
His personal hobbies include traveling, listening to music, and learning: he is currently attempting to learn Thai. He is also an avid follower of politics, and will happily debate you for hours. He enjoys Mike's Hard Lemonade, obscure German board games and long walks on the beach. He really enjoys giving Elly wet willies when she leasts expects it.

Debbie is yet another Miss Dream translator. She is a helper who likes to helpfully help. She studied Japanese for 4 years at UAlbany and spent 10 months at Tokyo University for Foreign Studies which is where she met Brendan. She has yet to do any professional translation but knows far too much Noh Theater vocab for her own good. Her responsibilities include:
Her personal hobbies include: Video Games, Movies, awfully obscure culture references, TV shows and sewing projects which include helping with cosplay but also needlepoint and cruelle. Oh and studying. Yeah, that's a real hobby.

Ruth's expertise: making HD Myu clips and uploading them to YouTube for Myu fans around the world! Speaking of YouTube, Ruth likes to pimp out Miss Dream whenever a new release is announced. For Ruth's personal Myu site she makes layouts that are hit and miss in terms of the wowness factor...they tend to be misses.
Ruth has been a fan of Sailormoon since the mid 90s. The very first time Ruth saw anything Sailormoon related was Sailormoons transformation sequence from the R season while sitting on a bean bag chair (in her older brothers room no less). Ruth loves Sailormoon so much that one day she faked being sick so she could stay home (from school) and watch the Dub episode "A Crystal Clear Destiny." If that's not loyalty, I don't know what is. xD
In the late 90s early 2000s, Ruth found out about the musicals via bootleg VCDs of the anime. The disc came as a bonus and had the first four musicals in RM format on it. At first Ruth couldn't stand them so she went about her business for a few years. It wasn't until Ruth was in her 20s that she fell in love with the Myus. Her favorite actress is Anza, but Miyuki is a close second. Ruth's favorite musical is Eien Densetsu K (FFS Last Day Performance) followed by Transylvania no Mori K. She began her hobby of collecting every single VHS/DVD that was released back in '06 and that collection is complete.
Ruth's duties are as follows:
Ruth could be a smart ass and say her other hobbies aren't any of your business, but she will play nice so they include writing poetry, drawing horribly, surfing the web for a job, and avoiding calls from debt collectors. And despite what others say, Ruth does in fact have a dream...that dream is to have a dream! Ruth also like to travel. The furthest east she's been to is NY/NJ-where she met a friend for the first time. The farthest west is Hawaii-where Ruth swam with the sharks-fed the sharks her dinner from the previous night-and she became a fish...either that or it was a really bad sunburn- it was hard to tell. The farthest north-Yellowstone National Park and the farthest south would be Nogales, AZ (borders Mexico) - which is literally 4 hours away from where Ruth is at now.
Besides the awesomeness of Sailormoon, other shows Ruth enjoys are House, Numb3rs, Charmed, Monk, and there's more, but she won't bore you with the details! She loves the internet since she can find sites that host movies that are still in theatres. Saves little Miss Ruthie quite a bit of money. ^_^
Dan is Miss Dream's resident code monkey. You can often find him up until all hours of the morning analysing arrays, validating variables and storing strings.
There are a number of things that Dan specialises in. They include the following:
Dan also holds a number of formal qualifications. These include:
When not coding, Dan spends his time drinking tea, talking in a sexy voice, commenting on art, books and other high-brow subjects and generally being awesome. His hobbies include referring to himself in the third person, inflating the truth and being right in discussions, all of which he enjoys on a regular basis. He hopes you have enjoyed this brief article about him that has told you very little of a serious nature, and asks that you see Appendix A when it is written, because he figures that since he won't be credited for any translation, he might as well have an appendix to his name.
Reneé, or Misty as she also goes by, is a new member of the Miss Dream staff, responsible for French translations. She got into anime with Pokémon in 1998, to which she was introduced by her best friend Amy, and into Sailor Moon not long after when she saw a bit of an episode in the orthodontist's waiting room and then found out more from Amy. Since then, she has seen many other animes (including some obscure ones), but Sailor Moon remains one of her top three favorites. In 2006, she discovered PGSM and participated in some PGSM fandubs on YouTube. And SeraMyu? Well, she thought it was over the top at first, but in 2007 she gave it a shot, and now she's a big fan. Now, she's trying to catch up on the anime and manga.
As a rather new staff member, Reneé hasn't done much yet, but at the moment she does (or will do in the future) the following for Miss Dream:
In her day-to-day life, Reneé is a 25-year-old Christian student studying at a local state university for her B.A. in Literature and Writing Studies (basically English) with a writing emphasis, as well as a minor in French. Between high school and college, she brings to Miss Dream almost four years' worth of French knowledge. She also works at a grocery store part-time, which helps her to, among other things, feed her love for books and get manga to add to her collection, which mostly consists of works by CLAMP, whose work she greatly admires for its story depth and beautiful artwork.
In her free time, she enjoys reading, writing, playing on the computer (particularly web design and video making), playing video games, and listening to music. She has been active on YouTube for the last several years as a general video maker and a fandubber. Other than anime, she enjoys watching shows like The Amazing Race, iCarly, and Jeopardy, as well as practically anything on HGTV. She is currently working on achieving her dream to be a published author. She is also working on a certificate in Web Development and Design with hopes of landing a web design job after school that will support her until she can survive just on her writing. Then maybe she can afford a place with some storage for her growing book & manga collection! (:
Pat is what you'd call a vet among anime fans. He's 29 and has been watching anime since he was 3. He plans to die watching anime and marry someone who likes anime. He's been with the site since the beginning but decided to stay in the background for random reasons :-P
He isn't a huge Sailormoon fan but he has seen all of the series and watched it when he was 12-14 when it aired on Channel 11...or the WB or whatever it is now. So what's his job here anyway?
He made over 122 AMV's to date and he's a HUGE Bleach fan.
If your a Rukia fan then your already gold in his eyes. IchiRuki is of course good too.
His Youtube channel with over 500 subscribers can be found here: http://www.youtube.com/profile?user=AnimeChaos09
How does he pass his days? Mostly just working from 3am to 12pm. Going out with his friends when he's not broke from bills.. He keeps up to date with all the seasonal animes. He usually picks about 10 to 15 series per season give or take. Not like he watches anime every day but usually Thursday and Sundays are his big anime watching days. *given the season and the airdates of when there fansub'ed that is*
Angel aka Kuroitenshi also Seiya has been into Sailormoon since 1997 with background in several other anime and manga series over the years. Started drawing anime style at the same time, but since over to more of a manga style and in the last couple of years has gone near completely digital as far as art goes. Drew the new Miss Dream Chibi mascot.
Duties include:
When not doing anything art related, Angel passes the time RPing, working on a couple of stories/projects, adding to the Sailormoon collection, going to conventions and watching TV series/movies/80s cartoons.
Someday Angel hopes to finish her original senshi manga, Sailortitan.
Angel runs various websites for her artistic endeavors: her works can be found on DeviantArt as Kuroitenshi13, and at Kuroi Tenshi.com.
This is a spot we've made to list all of our staff members who are currently taking a break or inactive.
Margi is our resident slacker and digital artist who keeps moving back and forth between France and Florida because she's indecisive and can't decide which Disneyland she likes better. Margi's areas of expertise include doodles, graphic design, web design, and making silly chibified pictures. Armed with a pen tablet and a pirated version of Photoshop, Margi is responsible for the following:
Margi's personal hobbies include writing, doodlin', obsessing over fashion, reading about outer space, spending time with her wife (Lady Gaga), sleeping at inconvenient hours, and eating junk food. She lives in a room full of robots and suffers from severe technophilia. When Margi isn't caught up in intergalactic warfare or being the world's laziest time traveling cyborg, she enjoys writing science fiction, and hopes to become a published author someday.
